If you are passionate about character homes and all that goes with it then look no further. A charming home with big front verandah, timber floors, high 10ft ceilings and picture rails, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Sitting on a generous block of 1161m2 this home does command attention. Very nicely screened from the street with stunning manicured gardens, this home has so much to absorb that it is hard to know which way to look. Providing 4 very generous bedrooms, a formal lounge, a galley style kitchen that provides numerous work areas, loads of storage and views from every point. Also from the kitchen you overlook the family/dining area as well as the private rear patio area, not forgetting the bonus of the wide front verandah that does enjoy the winter sun.
This home was extensively renovated prior to this owner, who has since taken this home to another level of renovated character homes that has culminated into a home that can only be really appreciated on inspection.
Boasting to be one of the last homes built with Albany bricks, has antique light fittings, ceiling roses, leadlight windows, a claw foot bath and even an 1890's wash stand.
This home is truly unique and will be appreciated on inspection.

This home will be auctioned SATURDAY 24TH MARCH AT 96 LOCKYER AVENUE
I recently had a visit from a gentleman who was born in this house in 1932, he said that 6 of his sibblings had been born there prior to him, and another 3 after.
He said that his dad who worked at the Brickworks hand picked each brick that he used to build the home in about 1912.
A fond memory that Keith had as a child was to sit on the wide front verandah on a Sunday and count the number of cars travelling past on the then gravel road. He said a busy day was 20.
